the new year

I've shot a lot and I haven't posted anything, but I'll start more now I think

Today was photos with Lexington, she's amazing and I'm excited for the stories she'll help me tell

this one was about being different and displaying those differences freely

letting the past stay where it was

and feeling the depths of each moment

I'm finally starting to see my progress and feel like I'm getting back on track with where I should be with photography

I have so many plans, I can't wait to show you all

Today was magical, really

This poem was etched in the cement in the park on top of Signal Hill: 

Here on this hill

what perspective to see

our world

ourselves

with clarity

Each point of view

repositioning

vibrant

inspiring

We come

to this place

when life gets too fast

to reflect on time

make a sunset last

Consider

what has come to pass

Signal fire

water tower

oil gusher of black gold

Layers of the past

shadowed images

recalled

The surface hints

of what you can't

touch to know

Earth upon water

a secret

well hidden

today was a beautiful day

it was long and it was difficult and I was grumpy for a lot of it, but everything was good, everything that happened was good

I spent time with mike today and made him take pictures with me, I love him so much, he's so good to me

here are a few not-so-artistically-exciting pictures that make me fall to pieces I'm so happy
